Shaped Carving

Shaped Carving as you can see gives an extra dimensional look to the flowers and leaves. Certain designs look much better in a shaped carving especially roses, vines, leaves, etc. Although shaped carving adds an additional step in the engraving process to produce the shaping and often looks much better than flat carving, many designs have to be flat carving for the best outcome.
